Donald Trump's harsh comment about Zohran Mamdani's looks has received negative reactions.

Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist, has clashed with President Donald Trump before. Donald Trump recently insulted Mamdani's appearance in a strange manner during an interview.

Mamdani, 34, has been elected as the next mayor of New York City, making history as the first Millennial, the most liberal mayor in generations, the first Muslim mayor, the first of South Asian heritage, and the first born in Africa.

Winning over 50% of the vote, Mamdani defeated former governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa, garnering much support in New York.

During an appearance on CBS’s 60 Minutes, Trump compared himself to Mamdani, calling him a communist and making comments about their appearances.

Trump has threatened to arrest Mamdani and withhold funding from the city if he were to be elected, expressing his disapproval of Mamdani's political stance.

In his victory speech, Mamdani responded to Trump, stating that the city can show how to defeat him and the next one, urging Trump to "turn the volume up."
